WHEN WHISTLER IS SHITTY, PEMBERTON IS PRIME
July 16, 2007 02:59
As is with life when things get shitty/too much to handle/you get a girl pregnant, its always good to have a place to flee to. When it comes to mountain biking in Whistler, Pemberton is that safe house.

CLICK CLACK, THATS THE SOUND OF MY GAT

A couple of things have got me thinking lately. Not outside my comfort zone of bikes, boobs and cider though you understand - no thinking outside the box for me.

What Wednesday Take 3
July 13, 2007 03:40
Another Phat Wednesday took place last night and once again it was a sight to be seen. A hundred and twenty plus racers showed up last night for the only Beer League Downhill race in the world worth mentioning. Last night’s course was Schleyer to Lower Whistler Downhill. Unfortunately, the Schley didn’t show up to throw down any off the sickter schleyble tops but that was to be expected. I personally sucked man balls on the course, coming to a dead stop before the Schleyer rock garden and almost eating shit on the Whistler Downhill rock gardenish thing. Dave Patten and a surprising amount of other racers were left dealing with an un-common course obstacle….deer and bears. Yes we truly are in the wilderness. Seb was very adamant that DQ’s WILL be handed out at the next race for those taking cheater lines. This I found to be quite ridiculous because as Dave says, “we’re here for the beer”. The lovely Holden ladies graced the GLC patio with their presence and more impressively their lovely mother Colleen. Just a quick shout out to Coleen for the nachos and beer, Thanks! Adam decided that he “wasn’t feeling it” and didn’t race…could it be because this was the first real course of the summer, could it be because he’s too poor to fix his bike, could it be that he was too busy thinking about protein shakes and secret time to be bothered with racing… I’ll let you be the judge. Regardless, it was a good thing because another victory from Adam would have drove me further into alcoholism….wait too late.

Highlights of the night were having the same waitress as last time in which I tried to get her number but then couldn’t remember her name after I put it in my phone. After asking her name again and apologizing for forgetting it because I was a “little drunk” she replied “ya, you were super wasted” which was met with laughs and jeers from the rest of the peanut gallery.

Dave and Spooner definitely got gay later on in the night at Bills but if you know either of them it’s no surprise.

Ali forgot that sliding on her ass down the bone yard would hurt….sorry Ali but that no way to impress the boys.

All and all another successful night, pictures of all the racers to come as soon as I can get them off Todd.

Peace,

Carlos
